Job Description

Role Description: Product Management – Change Manager

Scope & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process from a centralized customer account view.
  • Be a key member of the ECM Review Team (RT), providing steering and consulting support to Engineering and Quality Leads.
  • Act as the first-level interface/escalation to the ECM Steering Committee (Senior Leadership).
  • Approve Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Planning and Final Review, as the central sales representative.
  • Shape the product portfolio through strategic insight into proposed changes and the change management process.
  • Evaluate and define criteria for the quality and completeness of ECR documentation prior to customer communication.
  • Be the key interface between change representatives and Customer Team Project Managers (PJMs).
  • Organize communication to affected PJMs and distribute documents for customer communication.
  • Coordinate documentation of customer requirements, affected Customer PJMs, and provide to change representatives.
  • Support Customer Teams with internal ECR Kick-Off Meetings while ensuring adherence to ECM guidelines.
  • Increase transparency of ECM by maintaining a comprehensive change overview within ECM RT and reporting across various levels of the organization as needed.
  • Quarterly review within Sr. Leadership on the state of ECM across CC-NA, including the status of current and new KPIs.
  • Define, support, and deploy ECM training across teams as necessary.
  • Share best practices across products and regions, with a critical eye to ensure lean and effective ECM within CC-NA.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in an engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional work experience in the automotive industry (e.g., project management, engineering, or similar).
  • 2+ years of full product life cycle experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Self-driven, high energy, and proactive with strong motivational skills to lead teams toward a common goal.
  • Ability to make independent decisions that may be of a complex nature.
  • Strong organization skills to efficiently manage varying topics with a process-driven mindset.
  • Previous experience leading cross-functional teams with the ability to quickly build internal networks.
  • Strong CC product and product release process know-how from quotation to SOP.
  • Change management experience from OEM and/or Bosch industrialization view.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP, or similar change management software.
