About the Role

KION Group is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join our team as an EDI Expert. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for managing the technical development of our SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement technical solutions to meet client requirements, adhering to agreed-upon technical designs.
  • Analyze business and functional requirements to develop project schedules, tasks, and estimates.
  • Design and document technical specifications, ensuring compliance with solution architecture.
  • Develop traditional ABAP WRICEFs using object-oriented ABAP programming.
  • Design, develop, and implement EDI/IDOC messages, customizing message types.
  • Support application development efforts, unit testing, and code reviews.
  • Develop test plans and automated scripts to ensure expected performance quality levels.
  • Analyze root cause and provide solutions for production and development issues.
  • Develop inbound and outbound interfaces to/from the cloud to on-premises and cloud instances of SAP products.
  • Provide planning and design support for solution architectures in multiple system environments.
  • Define and implement interfaces to upstream and downstream systems.
  • Understand various integration adapters in SAP to exchange messages between sender and receiver.
  • Monitor and present periodic status to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or similar field.
  • 5+ years of SAP experience as an SAP ABAP consultant and 2+ years of SAP S/4HANA experience.
  • At least 2 SAP end-to-end implementation experience and at least one S/4HANA implementation/conversion experience.
  • Proficient with traditional ABAP WRICEFs.
  • Experience in EDI design, development, and implementation, mapping, and testing with knowledge on business process and B2B mapping.
  • Experience working with CDS, Adobe Forms, RF screen programming, CDS views, APIs.
  • Able to discuss requirements with customers and challenge/clarify when necessary.
  • Develop high-level designs or plans and estimate effort required to deliver.
  • Advise engagement owners about risks associated with work packages.
  • Conduct/lead oral status/technical interchange meetings with users on small to medium-sized engagements.
  • Apply technology and consulting to solve client business problems.
  • Knowledge of implementation project life cycles, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, cut-over, and go-live support.
  • Experience with global, large-scale ERP implementations.
  • Proficient using Project Management tools (JIRA).
  • Strong communication skills (English required C1/C2).
