Your Role at Baxter

As a Medical Surveillance Specialist, you will be responsible for establishing surveillance systems in Occupational Health, developing programs for health promotion and prevention of occupational diseases, and administering Medical Services based on national, international, and corporate legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and facilitate the diagnosis related to the worker's health, occupational history, degree, and time of exposure to various risk factors in the work environment where they work.

• Interrelate with Regional Corporate for the creation and/or follow-up of programs.

• Coordinate prevention and health promotion actions.

• Establish health surveillance systems based on occupational risks.

• Design projects focused on eliminating professional risks, such as ergonomic, physical, chemical, mechanical, biological, etc.

• Administer the Occupational Health area, quality systems, audits, elaboration of annual programs, statistical reports, management of governmental documentation before dependencies such as IMSS, SSA, STPS.

• Surveillance and follow-up of the industrial canteen.

• Training and coordination of emergency response brigades.

• Perform and update the identification, evaluation, and control of 100% of the risks and environmental aspects of their areas of responsibility according to local EHS procedures.

• Maintain relationship with state and national government agencies creating support links for special case management and/or promotional campaigns, innovation of actions that promote a growing health culture.

• General health surveillance detecting and/or preventing lifestyle risk factors, chronic degenerative, endemic, or epidemic diseases by performing annual medical examinations, admission, return.

• Comply with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, NOM-241-SSA1 (current version), and EHS quality management systems.

• Achieve and maintain EHS management system certifications (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, safe industry).

• Perform all activities in compliance with EHS guidelines, comply with training requirements according to the SOP PESMASEG052, as well as participate in internal programs that contribute to the detection of unsafe conditions and opportunities for improvement in terms of safety.

• Foster a culture of compliance with standards and ethical business practices in the organization.

• Drive implementation of the ethics and compliance program and prevent, detect, and correct violations of the law, Baxter policies, and code of conduct.

• Implement Baxter's code of conduct, policies, and procedures, including, but not limited to, the Global Interactions policy and third-party policy, and support processes, ensuring employee induction and training.

• Identify Baxter's compliance and legal risks in the country/cluster.

Requirements

• Graduate Medical Surgeon

• Knowledge in occupational or labor medicine, management of evaluation and analysis of occupational risks, management of cases of work or commuting accidents, procedures before dependencies such as ST's of IMSS, STPS, SSA.

• Experience: 1 to 3 years in the position or similar.
