We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior to join our team in Mexico City. As a key member of our LATAM Tax team, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of tax compliance and reporting related to our operations in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of quarterly tax packages and deliverables for the Corporate Tax department.
- Work with the LATAM Tax Reporting team to improve the quarterly reporting process across the region, standardizing reports and processes where possible.
- Assist in the tax account reconciliation process and create standardized processes for reconciliations across LATAM.
- Serve as a liaison between the Controllership and financial systems team and Tax, ensuring tax needs are met.
- Support with information gathering in support of local tax inspections and fiscal benefits.
- Assist in preparing relevant information to present in local governmental offices.
- Provide support with the annual statutory audits, primarily in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Colombia.
- Support in gathering data for transfer pricing documentation and calculations for operations.
- Prepare quarterly and annual forecasts (income, cashflow, and other forecasts requested by treasury or AP).
- Manage system localization updates, new developments, and implementations of systems interfaces.
- Identify and implement process improvements, including generating new management reports to identify potential risks, differences, and anomalies.
Requirements:
- 5 years of advanced local tax experience managing tax compliance and other local tax matters.
- Hands-on experience with local income tax and US GAAP.
- Extensive knowledge of SAP, Excel, and AFIP interfaces, as well as PowerPoint.
- Ability to interact with other teams clearly and effectively, including accounting & finance teams, legal, and corporate tax partners.
