Job Summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a highly skilled Materials Planning Analyst II to join our team. As a key member of our Materials Planning Team, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials through our production cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Production Schedules: Create and maintain valid production schedules from the backlog and demand forecast to meet customer requirements, while utilizing resources cost-effectively.
  • Support Value Stream Leaders: Collaborate with Value Stream Leaders in leading materials-related projects and play a key role in New Product Introductions.
  • Maintain SAP/Rapid Response: Ensure a valid plan is maintained in SAP/Rapid Response.
  • Plan Work Flow: Plan the flow of work through the plant, considering raw materials and shipping dates of finished products.
  • Identify and Resolve Inconsistencies: Work closely with cross-functional leads to identify, plan, and resolve inconsistencies and gaps between demand and supply.
  • Alter Schedules: Alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Work with Procurement: Collaborate with Procurement to ensure material availability.
  • Load and Review Part Number Detail: Load and review part number detail on a weekly basis.
  • Keep Interco Suppliers Workload Loaded: Ensure Interco suppliers' workload is loaded.
  • Communicate Ship Schedules: Communicate ship schedules to Customer Service Advocates.
  • Monitor Customer Shipments/STO: Monitor weekly customer shipments/STO.
  • Monitor Lead Times and Lead Time Offsets: Monitor lead times and lead time offsets in the system to reflect flow and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Highlight Parts for Maintenance: Highlight parts for maintenance of the item master in the MRP environment.
  • Maintenance of Purchase Orders: Maintain purchase orders.
  • Review and Work Exception Messages: Review and work exception messages daily.
  • Participate in Cycle Counting Program: Participate in the cycle counting program.
  • Manage Inventory Levels: Manage inventory levels to support Days on Hand targets.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Materials Planning position or previous Master Scheduling experience.
  • Strong Interpersonal and Analytical Skills: Strong interpersonal and analytical skills are essential.
  • Positive Professional Attitude: Candidate must maintain a positive, professional attitude.
  • Ability to Multi-Task: Possess the ability to multi-task in a changing environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: Ability to work under pressure, balancing conflicting priorities and resource constraints.
  • Thorough Understanding of MRP Logic: Thorough understanding of MRP logic and inventory strategies.
  • Experience with SAP: Experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Track Attainment to Production Schedule: Track attainment to production schedule.
  • Schedule Release of Finished Material: Schedule release of finished material to customer orders.
  • Inventory Management: Inventory management.
  • Ability to Analyze and Reconcile Material Issues: Ability to analyze and reconcile material issues.
  • Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) is a plus.
  • Advanced Computer Skills: Advanced Computer skills: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
  • APICS Certification: APICS certification preferred.
  • BS or BA Degree: BS or BA Degree required.
