We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Autozone. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our purchased products and materials meet our specifications.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Locate and negotiate with key suppliers to obtain high-quality goods at the lowest prices possible.
  • Gather and prepare documents such as quotes, proposals, and purchase terms and conditions from suppliers for review.
  • Analyze, monitor, and record supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement team to ensure the Purchases Order process is being managed properly.
  • Work with HR and Directors to ensure business purchases needs are being pre-approved and requested properly.
  • Research and evaluate different vendors to satisfy user needs and provide options for the best price on the right merchandise.
  • Provide quotations to users and request final approval for requisitions.
  • Manage the new vendor setup process and partner with the Vendor Relations team.
  • Collaborate with the AP team to ensure goods and services are received and properly invoiced.
  • Provide documentation to the AP team to process invoices and certify voucher lines.
  • Manage pending payment approvals and send reminders to approvers.
  • Guarantee a Wow customer service experience through direct communication with vendors.
  • Establish internal control best practices and document the procurement process.
  • Develop a monthly expense analysis process and provide ad-hoc reports to Directors.
  • Work with the Accounting team and Cost Center controllers to create GL Coding guides.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting.
  • 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and developing policies and procedures.
  • Creative and strategic thinking with the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop problem-solving skills among team members.
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and outside data sources.
