Job Summary

This role is responsible for sourcing and securing required materials and component parts needed to produce fabric care products at the lowest total systems cost. The successful candidate will have a strong background in purchasing and supply chain management, with experience in coordinating new suppliers and negotiating with existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate new suppliers and parts with Materials, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and external suppliers
  • Responsible for supplier selection and negotiations involving price, quality, delivery, payment terms, etc.
  • Effectively communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to sell ideas and strategies
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, resolve problems, meet deadlines, and handle a fast-paced critical work environment
  • Ensure compliance with Electrolux Major Appliance's policy and procedures
  • Apply requirements related to EMS, ISO9001/14001/50001/Green Spirit according to the position
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years purchasing experience with demonstrated professional growth
  • BS degree in a related field
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings
  • Expertise in supplier processes and cost drivers
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills including year over year cost reductions
  • Understanding of Global Purchasing markets
  • Material flow process knowledge
  • Outstanding leadership skills
  • Internal and external conflict resolution skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Personal computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and mainframe operations procurement-related software
  • Basic knowledge of purchasing/accounting processes
