Senior Retail Digital Strategist

Overview:
Newell Brands, a leading $8.3B consumer products company, is seeking an experienced Senior Retail Digital Strategist to lead the relationship with Walmart.com and drive profitable growth for both parties.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in eCommerce, sales, and/or Digital Marketing working with Amazon or Ecommerce Business in retail. They should be proficient in MS Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI) and have expertise in SEO and SEM principles and techniques for optimizing product listings.
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic relationships with key accounts, aligning commercial and digital strategies across all segments.
- Create and implement comprehensive Walmart.com strategies, including JBP development and execution.
- Identify growth opportunities and ensure category development across various segments with a deep understanding of shopper insights.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to build correct price and promotion plans and guarantee execution.
- Develop curated Extended catalogue strategies and execute them.
- Manage annual product forecasts and weekly updates to achieve goals.
- Negotiate agreements aligned with WM team for Omnichannel Connect (Digital ads) strategy and ensure correct execution.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales, improve sell-out performance, and enhance customer satisfaction on Walmart.com.
- Monitor performance metrics, such as sell-in, sell-out, Glance Views, conversion rates, Confirmation rates, and customer feedback, building dashboards to take necessary actions to achieve performance targets.
- Conduct regular data analysis and generate actionable insights to improve marketplace performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to coordinate product launches, promotions, and inventory management.
- Provide input to leadership regarding engagement and shopper data to contribute insights for refining merchandising strategies, focusing on category development.
- Build connections with Marketing and Customer Marketing to support the strategic growth of the account, creating Walmart assets for digital campaigns.
- Guarantee execution of A&P strategy and follow up to maximize campaign results.
- Monthly follow up of chargebacks of A&P executed to guarantee proper management.
- Implement effective customer service practices to resolve inquiries, complaints, and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and tools related to online marketplaces and make recommendations to improve optimizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Marketing, or Digital business.
- 7+ years of experience in eCommerce, sales, and/or Digital Marketing working with Amazon or Ecommerce Business in retail.
- Proficient in MS Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI), SAP, and digital media platforms.
- Experience in eCommerce and Digital Marketing, including Ecommerce KAM (3+ years).
- Understanding of eCommerce channels, metrics, and customer journey.
- Strong analytical focus and KPIs management.
- Detail-oriented and operationally-focused, with a data-driven and proactive approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and an understanding of where projects fit into overall Company and development strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop direct reports, assisting to achieve their goals.
- Ability to operate independently given direction and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised.
- Strong project planning, tracking & organizing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple activities and assignments simultaneously.
- A high sense of urgency and commitment to deadlines.
- Consumer-centric approach to daily activities.
- English written and spoken at an advanced level.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
