Job Summary

Celestica Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Materials Program Manager to join our Supply Chain Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement production/shipments plans that support our overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with Business Office, Production, Procurement, Planning, and customers to compile, develop, validate, and communicate production/shipments plans.
  • Identify business process enhancements and participate in their design and implementation.
  • Participate in Master Planning review and procurement actions from MRP process.
  • Coordinate with planning on customer requirements, changes, to assess costs and actual feasibility.
  • Support new product introduction and negotiate with customers on materials management related activities.
  • Provide customers with technology information, supplier capabilities, and market trends to complement SCM activities.
  • Review all terms and conditions agreed to in the Celestica/Customer contract to assess SCM's ability to meet these requirements.
  • Partner with Business Office in negotiating Terms and Conditions in relation to SCM activities with customers.
  • Identify Celestica's SCM new product process requirements to customers and ensure all information is received and SCM processes initiated effectively.
  • Coordinate Bill of Material analysis and review content, lead time constraints, critical parts supply, and component reliability issues.
  • Ensure alternate source capability to maintain supply continuity and verify that customer costs can be supported.
  • Review and submit all customer material bid requests and resolve any issues with customers and internal teams.
  • Manage customer relationships from a Supply Chain perspective and obtain and disseminate customer SCM feedback to teams.
  • Champion improvements and communicate action plans.
Requirements
  • In-depth understanding of all aspects of the global supply chain, Celestica's strategic policies and objectives, and its suppliers and customers.
  • Good understanding of specific customers' business, organization, products, and processes.
  • Fundamentals of financial product cost structures and asset management techniques.
  • Extensive ability to utilize computer systems and applications to gather required information and compile information into a customer-presentable format.
  • Ability to effectively communicate all SCM-related activities in an appropriate manner to customers and internal teams.
  • Applies analysis and judgment to assess performance against key measures and determine priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface cross-functionally to gather required customer information.
