About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Creative Director to lead our design team. This role requires a leader who can create and execute designs, as well as direct design strategy. The successful candidate will bring our brand and assets to life, communicating our value proposition to the world.

The Creative Director will play a key role in shaping our design function and leading a team of designers. You will be responsible for developing our brand architecture, design system, brand strategy, and execution, including visual elements and content.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and execute design strategy to build awareness and grow our presence across audience touch points, products, and local markets.
  2. Develop and maintain a design system that aligns with our brand and ensures consistency across our products and marketing channels.
  3. Create and execute a creative strategy, visual language, voice, and personality of our brand, with a focus on awareness and integrated campaign work.
  4. Build relationships with cross-functional team members and executives to effectively manage process, deliverables, and design needs.
  5. Deliver outstanding art direction, photography, and video direction, design, typography, and campaign systems, and support creation of assets for sales enablement, presentations, and digital storytelling needs.
  6. Create organization and project management processes that scale, working cross-functionally with other teams to meet their creative needs.
  7. Identify gaps in our capabilities and build or source specialists and agencies as needed.
  8. Ensure the quality of creative output is world-class.
Requirements
  1. At least 7+ years of professional experience leading design teams at an agency or an in-house design team.
  2. A compelling digital portfolio, preferably with experience designing in blockchain, web3, DeFi, and financial services categories.
  3. Expertise in branding systems and a willingness to be hands-on, creating and executing designs as well as leading.
  4. Extensive technical knowledge of branding systems and a deep understanding of high-quality output.
  5. Resourcefulness to get things done quickly and efficiently, with experience onboarding the right agency partners for the right objectives.
  6. Ability to lead by influence, inspiring teams to deliver their best work.
  7. Partial (5hr) daily overlap with EST, with flexibility to work unusual hours if needed.
