Job Summary:
This individual will be responsible for leading the development of new LED drivers, from concept to production, and ensuring they meet electrical, thermal, and environmental requirements. The role requires expertise in power electronics circuits, including boost, buck, flyback topologies, and linear regulators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new product designs, including product definition, parts selection, and qualification.
- Generate engineering documentation, including specifications, schematics, layouts, BOM, and quality reports.
- Perform qualification tests to ensure new drivers meet electrical, thermal, EMI, mechanical, and environmental requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement product design and development projects.
- Participate in team meetings and lead product delivery using the stage gate product development process.
- Follow ISO 14000 systems and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Master of Electrical Engineering in Electronic Engineering Technology.
- 6-9 years of experience as a Senior Design Engineer or 1-3 years in a similar role.
- High expertise level and experience in power electronics circuits, including boost, buck, flyback topologies, and linear regulators.
- Deep knowledge of PCB design, electrical standards, and manufacturing rules.
- Experience with design procedure guidelines, electronic component selection, and lifetime calculation for electronic SMPS.
- Proficiency in electrical simulation tools (Pspice/LTSpice), thermal basics, and microcontroller programming skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Cortex M0 microcontrollers (32bits) and 8 Bits microcontrollers.
- C/C++ and assembler knowledge.
- Familiarity with oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, AC/DC power supplies, and UL standards and testing.
