At Alstom, we're seeking a skilled Project Document Controller to join our team in Sahagun, HID, MX. As a key member of our global project teams, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the correct configuration of our products through the creation and control of technical documentation elements.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Validate and create Alstom part numbers in specialized tools, ensuring accuracy and compliance with engineering design.
- Maintain the engineering Bill of Materials (BOM) in PLM systems, guaranteeing seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure configuration management rules and engineering standards are adhered to, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Develop and publish technical documentation, including drawings, reports, and materials lists, in digital control systems.
- Provide expert support to design engineering teams worldwide on product configuration, change management, and nomenclature rules.
- Monitor and address issues related to design releases, ensuring timely resolution.
- Contribute to departmental delivery goals, focusing on time, quality, and cost.
- Keep tracking boards and key performance indicators (KPIs) up to date, driving data-driven decision-making.
Your Qualifications
We're looking for a candidate with a degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or similar) and experience or understanding of document control, data analysis, PLM systems usage, or EBOM creation and management. Intermediate knowledge of IT tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint, is essential. Familiarity with digital documentation systems and maintaining engineering BOMs in PLM systems is a plus.
