About the Role

Uber Freight is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Mexico Brokerage Customer Service team, focusing on house accounts and new business. The ideal candidate will have a background in the Transportation, Supply Chain, or Logistics field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Proactively identify and communicate issues, propose and implement solutions for continuous improvement regarding processes, cost, service, and profitability.
  • Customer Relationship: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing excellent service and communication.
  • Financial Objectives: Meet or exceed Uber Freight's targeted financial objectives.
  • Team Development: Ensure team development and growth align with corporate development goals.

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience leading people.
  • At least 3 years of Brokerage Experience.
  • Excellent English language skills – verbal and written.
  • Availability to Travel (Laredo, other US and Mexico locations).
  • Microsoft Suite— knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Organized and effective in time management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7-10 years experience in operations management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Administration or International Relations.
  • Experience in logistics and customer service.
  • Sense of Urgency.
  • Communication Skills.
  • Decisive, displays confidence in the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Determination, willingness, and ability to conciliate with customer and carrier contacts.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to envision and implement new concepts/strategies.
  • Simultaneous management of multiple tasks.
