About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Lojack México. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop comprehensive and well-structured test plan strategies, test cases, and best practices related to firmware/hardware test engineering.
- Execute test procedures that exercise key features of each product platform.
- Coordinate with other individuals and organizations to execute tests locally on the bench in the office environments.
- Identify and procure equipment needed to conduct tests.
- Analyze test data, generate detailed and executive summary reports, and log all data associated with each test for historical trend analysis.
- Document all test anomalies along with associated device configuration and procedures.
- Escalate validation field issues to engineering and business managers when urgency requires immediate escalation.
- Maintain and execute automated test system test suites and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
- Participate in troubleshooting and debugging of software issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Work with Engineering, R&D team to determine effective technical solutions for customer applications and fix any application-specific field issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform end-to-end testing to validate the functionality and performance of software applications across various platforms and environments.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software development and testing.
- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
