Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve all Auto crew Call exceptions effectively.
  • Oversee the Auto crew Call system to ensure alignment with transportation strategies.
  • Facilitate hotel and motel bookings for crew members.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics with taxi services for crew transfers between trains and accommodations.
  • Assist in the distribution of bulletins and cancellation notices for train and yard positions.
  • Support the preparation of daily and monthly operational reports.
  • Monitor and manage crew boards at various locations.
  • Exhibit operational excellence by adhering to business requirements and demonstrating a customer-centric approach.
  • Understand key business metrics and implement effective strategies to maintain a culture of operational efficiency.
  • Identify policy violations and engage in constructive accountability discussions with individuals not meeting expectations.
  • Promote a unified team culture by enhancing communication and interpersonal skills to foster inclusion and respect.
  • Clearly define team roles and responsibilities, holding individuals accountable for achieving objectives and recognizing performance.
  • Develop and nurture a high-performing team, creating a rewarding work environment and organizing team-building activities.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant operational experience or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge in one or more areas of railroad operations.

Working Conditions

  • This role requires shift work, necessitating flexibility to support critical railroad operations around the clock.
  • On-call duties are integral to this position, requiring readiness to assist with operational needs at any time.
  • Minimal travel may be required, up to 10% of the time.
