Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technician I to join our team at Plexus. This role is responsible for evaluating and defining manufacturing processes to ensure that Plexus and customer requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Assembly Build Instruction Creation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain assembly build instructions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Equipment Capabilities and Operations: Develop in-depth knowledge of equipment capabilities, operation, and methods within the focus factory to ensure superb product quality, process capability, and efficiency.
- Process Setup and Monitoring: Ensure all processes are set up, operating, and monitored in accordance with the requirements set forth by the manufacturing engineer and customer, supporting a smooth product transition into manufacturing.
- Research and Documentation: Conduct research of customer and supplier documentation (datasheets, drawings, etc.) to ensure material conforms to specifications.
Additional Accountabilities:
- Cp and Cpk Analysis: Perform Cp and Cpk analysis for assigned equipment to ensure process capability and efficiency.
- Tool Development and Usage: Support the development and usage of tools to help ensure proper configuration of orders per the customer's requirements.
- New Product Start-up and First Build Troubleshooting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product start-up and first build troubleshooting.
- Factory Planning and Prioritization: Work with Factory Team, Planners, Test Personnel, and Manufacturing Engineering to prioritize and plan daily needs for the factory.
Requirements:
- Education: A minimum of a High School diploma is required; Associate's degree is preferred.
- Experience: One (1) year of related experience is required; One (1) or more years of related experience is preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge in PCB assembly process, SMT, RoHS assembly, Lean Manufacturing, IPC standards, and Quality Systems required.
Work Environment: The work setting should consist of a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level.
