About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Unix Systems Analyst to join our team at Flextronics - The Flex Company. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT services, systems, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Process Management: Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the day-to-day maintenance of applications and underlying systems.
  • System Monitoring and Maintenance: Proactively monitor enterprise systems to ensure they are adequately sized to meet the dynamic requirements of our business solutions.
  • Backup and Retention Policies: Ensure proper backup and retention policies are in place to minimize data loss in case of failures.
  • Communication and Feedback: Establish clear communication channels and ensure proper feedback mechanisms are in place with customers, peers, and cross-functional teams.
  • System Enhancements: Propose system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
  • Project Management: Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • System Performance and Availability: Ensure that business application(s) are performing, scalable, usable, and available by defining help and monitoring processes, defining, and driving SLAs (Service Level Agreement), conducting system tests.
  • Research and Development: Research, design, code, and test new systems and system enhancements in line with the deliverables of our IT projects.
Requirements
  • Education: BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
  • Technical Skills: Jr experience with Linux/Windows hands-on system administration with back-end large server experience and/or cloud experience.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge in hypervisors e.g. VMWare, Linux KVM.
  • Language: Advanced English.
  • Database Skills: Basic skills in Relational databases, Open-Source databases.
  • Troubleshooting and Analytics: Basics of Troubleshooting, Log analysis, and data analytics.
