Job Summary

Celestica is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Global Quality and Excellence to lead our quality management system and processes. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing quality leadership and strategy to support the development and execution of improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess quality performance to establish metrics, targets, and improvement strategies aligned to organizational and customer goals.
  • Support the development and execution of quality improvement initiatives aligned to Total Quality at Celestica imperatives and targets.
  • Lead and support the development and deployment of effective and standardized quality protocols.
  • Engage and support the development and deployment of powerful protocols and tools such as 8D Methodology, Compliance Procedures, Change Control Board, FMEA, Manufacturing Quality Standards (MQS), and Flawless Launch Phase Gate Reviews.
  • Engage and foster constructive relationships with site and global leaders and subject matter experts to enable a collaborative environment for successful execution of improvements and best practice sharing.
  • Provide leadership and support for compliance readiness to various customer, regulatory standards, and certifications.
  • Responsible for the design, deployment, and support of Celestica's Quality Management System and related processes.

Requirements

  • High level of competency in Total Quality at Celestica Initiatives.
  • Excellent knowledge of quality management systems and processes, including ISO and ISO.
  • Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials, manufacturing, and business processes.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Ability to establish department goals and coordinate a wide variety of resources to meet quality and quantity metrics.
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize, and problem-solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to effectively lead, manage, train, and motivate a diverse group of employees to achieve high production within tight time deadlines.

Physical Demands

  • Sustained visual concentration on small areas, such as monitors, screens.
  • Sustained visual concentration on numbers, legal documents.
  • The job works in generally good conditions with occasional exposure to noise, odors, dust, drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
  • Occasional overnight travel is required.

Typical Experience

  • 11 to 14 years.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Educational requirements may vary by geography.
