Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Tax Manager to join our Finance team in Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Mexican tax affairs and ensuring compliance with applicable tax policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Mexican tax affairs and tax compliance obligations in rapidly changing tax regulatory environment.
- Collaborate with local country Business and Finance organization and global Group Tax function to ensure effective tax planning and compliance.
- Monitor and manage profit level of Mexican Syngenta entities in cooperation with global Transfer Pricing team.
- Support positioning of global tax strategy and risk management framework in Mexico.
- Represent Group Tax in leadership meetings and other senior management forums.
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge in Mexican and international tax matters, gained in one of the Big4s or ideally combined with in-house experience in a multinational company.
- Strong finance, statutory accounting, and tax reporting knowledge; understanding of underlying operational processes, systems, and data requirements.
- Fluent Spanish and English language skills are essential.
- Leadership and stakeholder management skills; comfortable dealing with stakeholders at different levels in the organization.
