Job Summary:
Nissan Motor is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to lead the design and development of complex data integration solutions in a collaborative software engineering environment. As a key member of the Data Analytics Team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of logical and physical data models for transactional and analytical datastores, considering on-premise and cloud/hybrid options.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a broad understanding of data architecture and systems, ensuring alignment with Nissan's data architecture best practices.
- Lead the design and development of data models, collaborating with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure integrated data solutions meet company objectives.
- Evangelize data platform standards, patterns, and best practices across business partners, promoting data-driven decision making.
- Work closely with business users and developers to create and maintain data dictionaries and data lineage, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Investigate and resolve data anomalies, including data quality issues and ambiguous/redundant data definitions, and recommend data integrity checks and controls.
- Provide technical guidance and support for data warehouse and data initiatives, including cloud migration pathways for legacy databases.
- Prescribe optimal data frameworks, database selection, and unity with global standards under the guidance of Nissan's Enterprise Data Architect.
- Collaborate with data consumers (data analysts, data scientists, data engineers, etc.) to understand needs and challenges, produce solutions, and process improvement recommendations.
- Assist with data platform optimization and scalability improvement efforts, ensuring compliance with data policies, state and federal laws, regulations, and standards.
- Enhance data security and data auditing capabilities, promoting a data-driven culture within Nissan Motor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering and data modeling.
- Mandatory knowledge in Search Maker, AWS, Machine Learning, and Python.
- Nice to have knowledge in SQL databases, ETL, data modeling, Informatica, Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.
- Desirable AWS certifications: Developer, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Cloud Practitioner, or Solution Architect.
- English Level: Advanced (mandatory).
