Job Summary

The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and reports for Marriott International's hotels. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process all payment types, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit
  • Complete end-of-day activities, including posting charges to accounts and running night audit backup
  • Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications
  • Count bank at end of shift and secure bank
  • Operate telephone switchboard station and process requests for wake-up calls
  • Complete the Room Rate Variance Report
  • Process all guest check-ins and assign room
  • Activate or reissue room keys using electronic key machine
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas, and inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all materials prior to use
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • Follow all company policies and procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as finance or accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
