Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and automate cloud solutions that enhance the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our cloud systems.
  • Design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure utilizing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Deploy and maintain various cloud services, including virtual machines, containers, and databases, tailored to project specifications.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and security, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to establish continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to streamline infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Conduct security assessments and apply best practices to safeguard cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement highly available cloud solutions.
  • Optimize cloud resource usage, employing cost management strategies to maximize efficiency.
  • Stay informed about emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.
  • Participate in the assessment and integration of new cloud services and technologies.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Over 3 years of experience in cloud technologies and automation tools, particularly Azure DevOps.
  • Minimum of 3 years in automation and DevOps practices.
  • At least 2 years of experience with scripting languages relevant to Azure (e.g., ARM, CLI, PowerShell, Terraform).
  • 3+ years of experience in designing and supporting distributed systems for high availability.
  • Experience in migrating on-premises applications to cloud environments is a plus.

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies and automation.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of networking principles and security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in cloud contexts.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to drive collaborative decision-making processes.
  • Strong technical leadership and documentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
