Protalento is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager - Quality and Supplier Development to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for improving the overall competitiveness of the company and optimizing total cost of ownership by developing and implementing company-wide consistency and programs in the following areas of supplier development and global business in the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities
- Help develop and strengthen existing and onboarding suppliers in Mexico, seeking improvement opportunities and supporting the OpCos in their operational needs.
- Manage audits and measure the capacity and skills of suppliers to execute the required project.
- Work to ensure that the supplier base is highly qualified across the full spectrum of direct materials and services.
- Create a bridge to improve relationships with suppliers in Corporate Operations and provide the appropriate level of service, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Value creation and continuous cost reduction.
- Implement corporate quality best practices, audits, and process controls.
Requirements
- Experience in sourcing or supply chain developing suppliers from various categories (Machining, Foundries, Manufacturing, Plastics, etc.), managing projects from Request for Quotation (RFQ) to timely production launch.
- Auditing skills using fundamental APQP tools to ensure project execution and supplier readiness.
- Experience in Value Analysis (VA)/Value Engineering (VE), target costing, continuous improvement, Lean or Six Sigma training, and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).
- Background in the metalworking industry.
- English: Advanced level required.
- Valid visa (availability to travel).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) or Supply Chain.

- Salary: $60K to $65K pesos per month.
