ENGIE is seeking a skilled Network Operations Level 1 Technician to join our Global Business Support (GBS) team in Mexico. As a key member of our Network and Cybersecurity Services (NCS) division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance and security of our network and security infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities- Improve the quality of information in incident tickets by ensuring all necessary details are included and prioritized correctly.
- Identify and link multiple incidents together when a common root cause is detected.
- Perform initial technical analysis of device status and ensure critical alarms are linked to active incident tickets.
- Handle major and minor alerts, creating new incident tickets as needed and escalating to Level 2 or Level 3 when necessary.
- Manage maintenance status during changes' implementation and work with the network tooling team to improve monitoring quality.
- Implement basic and simple changes based on Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure day-to-day communication between the NOC team and local IT teams of ENGIE entities.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced English language skills.
- Basic knowledge of networks' fundamentals, including IP addressing, routing, and network devices.
- Experience with monitoring tools, such as Spectrum, Cacti, and Syslog.
- Familiarity with Cisco LAN, Wifi, and Fortinet, as well as ticketing systems like Service Now.
- ITIL standards and DNS, DHCP basic operations.
