About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Release Management Lead to join our team in Latin America. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of software and hardware releases to the LATAM Sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration channels with IT directors and other relevant parties to ensure alignment of release planning activities with business goals and priorities.
  • Build and lead a high-performing release management team, providing mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure that team members have the necessary skills, knowledge, and support to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance within the release planning team, through effective communication, recognition, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the release planning process, tools, and systems, identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and innovation.
  • Manage and prioritize competing demands and resource constraints to ensure that release planning activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures, as well as with legal and regulatory requirements, in all release management activities.
Requirements
  • 10+ years working on IT-related roles
  • 5+ years working on release planning or project management roles
  • Experience in release management processes and methodologies
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks, such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and practices
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, tools, and principles
  • Experience in risk management and mitigation strategies in release management
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to releases
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively
