Bakery Specialist

Marriott International, Inc is a world-renowned hospitality company seeking a skilled Patisserie Team Member to join our team at JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.

• Job Summary: Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
• Schedule: Full-time position with regular working hours.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use.
• Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods.
• Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures.
• Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report issues to management.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen area; set-up and break-down work station; and follow and ensure compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures.

• Estimated Salary: $25-$30 per hour (based on location and experience).

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-year related work experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly in a busy kitchen setting.
