Investment Officer, Infrastructure Mexico

International Finance Corporation (IFC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Officer to join its Infrastructure team in Mexico City. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, structuring, and closing investments in infrastructure and energy projects in Mexico and the Latin American region.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities in infrastructure and energy sectors, including power, transportation, and telecommunications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, including private sector companies, governments, and development partners.
- Structure and negotiate investment transactions, including debt, equity, and mezzanine financing.
- Monitor and report on portfolio performance, ensuring that investments are aligned with IFC's development objectives.
- Collaborate with other teams, including advisory and environmental and social teams, to add value to client businesses and achieve sustainable development impact.
- Master's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in private sector infrastructure financing and development, preferably with a development finance institution, commercial bank, or international financial institution.
- Proven track record of sourcing, structuring, and closing investments in infrastructure and energy projects.
- Strong financial and credit skills, with ability to present investments to internal committees and structure and close investments in infrastructure subsectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish, with proficiency in Portuguese a plus.
