About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled application engineer to join our cutting-edge team at Thomson Reuters. This is an exciting opportunity to work on impactful assets, collaborating with exceptional systems engineers, software developers, DevOps engineers, and technology managers.

In this role, you will apply your educational skills to solve technical challenges leveraging technology and people skills. You will have the opportunity to learn and work on various technologies including cloud, automation, AI/ML, troubleshooting, and knowledge creation skills.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • System Monitoring and Response: Monitor the health and performance of systems, applications, and infrastructure, and respond to incidents or issues promptly to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Automation: Develop and implement automation tools and processes to streamline operations, reduce manual effort, and improve efficiency.
  • Incident Management: Investigate and resolve incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, share knowledge, and promote best practices within the team and across the organization.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure systems and processes comply with security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement, implement changes, and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Leverage AI and ML technologies to find problems and fix them.
