About the Team

Zillow's mission is to empower home shoppers with data-driven insights, connecting them with real estate professionals to find their next home with ease. Our Data Platform team is responsible for creating tools, services, and processes that make data generation and distribution seamless throughout the enterprise. We're looking for a highly technical product manager to help set the direction of our Data Platform tools and services.

About the Role

We're seeking a product manager with a platform-as-a-product approach, who understands developers are their primary customer. You'll be responsible for developing and managing deployment, evolution, and developer support plans for platform offerings. You'll identify what truly matters and find ways to deliver value quickly by building a deep understanding of our customers through surveys, product analytics, and shadowing customers.

  • Champion our new app APIs, tools & services, and the value they offer, with engineering teams across Zillow Group.
  • Drive scalability of build system and CI/CD pipeline, documentation, and automated release process.
Requirements
  • 5+ years in a product or program management role.
  • Deeply technical experience with CI/CD, pipeline layouts, package/artifact management, cloud compute infrastructure, security, and IAM.
  • Platform as a Product approach, understanding developers are your primary customer.
  • Highly analytical, using data to make decisions and comfortable assembling it yourself or working with others.
  • Product Owner, knowing how to take ideas, define products, work with partners, and ship features.
  • Outcome-Oriented, able to cut to the core of a problem, identify what needs to be done and when, and work with the development team to get solutions shipped.
  • Experience defining projects, driving requirements, writing functional specs, and coordinating projects across multiple teams and organizations.
  • Strong written and oral interpersonal skills.
