Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented BOM Manager to join our Electrical Distribution System Business Unit at Aptiv Plc. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and following up on all activities related to new business quotes, engineering changes, and VAVE material cost initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate cost databases for components used on Stellantis programs
  • Work with Aptiv SCM to capture inflationary increases in component costs and enable price increases to be passed on to customers
  • Create accurate costed stocklists for finance and business teams for new business quotes and ARs
  • Analyze stocklists to ensure accuracy in cost and unit of measure
  • Create charts comparing material costs and attributes across Stellantis programs
  • Support sales account managers with accurate material costs on engineering change quotations
  • Meet Design (VAVE) cost reduction targets
  • Support material cost reduction initiatives to improve operating margins
  • Support customer and internal cross-functional teams in responding to customer-driven initiatives

Requirements

  • High level of English proficiency
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, finance, or engineering
  • Proficiency with Excel (data tables, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and PowerPoint
  • Experience with engineering changes and manufacturing product releases
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Finance, and Purchasing
  • Strong organization skills
  • Understanding of business case development for new RFQs
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks
