**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled **Sourcing Manager** to join our team at Thomson Reuters. As a key member of our Global Procurement team, you will be responsible for managing a team of sourcing analysts, developing category plans and sourcing strategies, and delivering content sourcing initiatives that achieve best value within acceptable risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of sourcing analysts, assign and delegate workload, mentor and train, and support on project escalation
- Develop category plans and sourcing strategies containing a portfolio of key initiatives that deliver the IT strategy
- Contribute to the development of the annual pipeline of content sourcing initiatives, integrating with the financial planning process
- Instill global procurement methodology and proper use of procurement policy across the organization
- Deliver content sourcing initiatives, achieving best value within acceptable risk
- Draft, redline, and negotiate supplier contracts within Thomson Reuters's contracting standards and business objectives
- Rationalize the number of content suppliers and reduce fragmentation in the spend base to simplify the supplier landscape and drive commercial efficiency
- Provide support and coaching to junior members of the larger procurement organization
- Collaborate with procurement legal, risk oversight functions, product, and business stakeholders
- Build and enhance relationships with strategic content suppliers to deliver high levels of service while maintaining best-in-class commercial terms and conditions
- Category plans and sourcing strategies developed and approved by all relevant stakeholders
- High-quality collateral, sourcing project artifacts, and negotiated supplier agreements developed and approved in accordance with the global procurement methodology at each stage of the sourcing lifecycle to facilitate informed decision-making amongst the stakeholder community
- Significantly reduced third-party risks with mitigation strategies for each content sourcing initiative
- Significant and sustainable annual reduction in Thomson Reuters cost-base, demonstrated using a robust savings methodology that is consistently applied and rigorously approved
About You
You're a fit for the role if your background includes:
- At least 5-10+ years of experience in sourcing, including successful development and negotiation of agreements
- Experience in managing teams of various skill sets; strong leadership capabilities with the ability to train and mentor team as well as delegate workload and support on escalations
- Proven track record of delivering significant and sustainable cost reductions through effective implementation of a coherent sourcing strategy
- Deep understanding of contract terms and contractual language; proven skills and experience in drafting and redlining contracts
- Good external and internal relationship management and cross-functional leadership skills
- Experienced sourcing practitioner, understanding of best-practice sourcing methodology, and a demonstrated track record of working ethically to achieve excellent outcomes
- Experience of leading negotiations with major suppliers
- Knowledge of the sourcing marketplace and trends in the industry, as well as regulatory climate, including the ability to assess the impact of change in the context of the sourcing strategy
- Expert analytics and ability to develop coherent and high-quality sourcing collateral, including business cases, contract summaries, presentations, and RFx materials
- Experience in building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and business executives
