About the Role

Oracle is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Network Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our network security team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the security of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network security systems to protect Oracle's infrastructure from cyber threats.
  • Manage and maintain network security systems, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and VPNs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network security aligns with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies to ensure Oracle's network security remains effective.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in IT security, with a focus on network security.
  • Expert knowledge of network security systems, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and VPNs.
  • Experience with Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and related systems.
  • Strong understanding of security policies and procedures, including compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in network security, such as Cisco CCNP Security or ISC2 CCSP.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
