Accountant I Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant I to join our finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing fiscal data, recording supplier invoices, and providing accurate and timely financial information.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the financial accounting manager with the month-end close process.
  • Post journal entries in the general ledger, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and other general accounting entries.
  • Prepare monthly accruals for non-PO invoices not yet recorded, such as accruals for freight charges, contractors, and utilities.
  • Post monthly entries related to fixed assets, including depreciation, settlement of capital improvement internal orders, and Federal Taxes Payment and Payroll Tax.
  • Register entries in the general ledger.
  • Register invoices of suppliers with and without PO.
  • Calculate, pay, and account for Federal Taxes, Tax Payroll, and DIOT.
  • Perform activities of the month-end process.
  • Send balance and policies for electronic accounting.
  • Carry out monthly bank conciliations.
  • Register and control for the accounts major medical insurance expenses, life insurance, property tax amortization, ZOE system, among others.
  • Analyze accounting accounts in the Blackline System.
  • Control of monthly lease in visual Lease tool.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • 2 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Proficient in English language (written and spoken) minimum 80%.
  • Experience in estimation/calculation of Taxes: ISR, IVA, IMSS, Infonavit & State Taxes.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Intranet Document Consultation abilities.
  • Interpretation and application of ISR Law.
  • Customer oriented/Team Player/Results Driven.
  • Excellent communication Skills.
