Job Title: Plant Accountant

Vertiv is seeking a highly skilled Plant Accountant to join our team. As a Plant Accountant, you will be responsible for executing regular month-end close activities, balance sheet accounts reconciliations, and distribution of reports related to our US and Canada plants, specifically in the Inventory/Cost of Sales areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare manual journal entries with the appropriate support based on US GAAP.
  • Interact with the finance team on the review of month-end journal entries.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations timely and accurately.
  • Prepare and distribute recurring financial reports (daily, weekly, or monthly as required).
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Assist with continuous improvements initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in accounting required.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications.
  • Strong attention to detail required.
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish).
  • Confidence in challenging the status quo; always on the lookout for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • The ability to go fast; the desire to help others go faster.
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Oracle.
