Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Balsam Brands. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building a robust, scalable, and high-performance data infrastructure to meet the company-wide data and analytics needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and maintain data infrastructure to support business intelligence and analytics
  • Develop and implement data pipelines to collect and ingest various data sources
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data needs and address technical issues
  • Apply engineering best practices to streamline manual processes and optimize data pipelines
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and lead the evaluation and deployment of cutting-edge tools to enhance data infrastructure and processes
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of professional experience in data engineering
  • Extensive hands-on experience with designing and maintaining scalable, efficient, secure, and fault-tolerant distributed databases on cloud platforms
  • Proficient in designing and implementing data movement pipelines for diverse data sources
  • Deep understanding of relational databases and advanced SQL and Python skills
  • Proven experience in building efficient and reliable data pipelines with comprehensive data quality checks and workflow management
  • Excellent analytical thinking skills and effective communication skills
