About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Category Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for strategically sourcing and managing our procurement categories to optimize Amazon's competitive position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute category sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and improve productivity.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to negotiate with suppliers and execute contracts.
  • Manage relationships with category suppliers to identify and optimize opportunities.
  • Provide market intelligence and strategic insights to key stakeholders.
  • Drive Supplier Relationship Management activities to mitigate risk and improve performance.
  • Identify and report on savings and value targets for category sourcing activities.
Requirements
  • Completed Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Indirect or Direct Sourcing Categories.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (C1+).
  • Solid experience in ERP Systems (Oracle, Coupa, SAP, MS tool suite).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, Analytics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of practiced analytical skills, including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data.
  • Lean / Six-Sigma knowledge.
  • Product Management/Retail Vendor experience.
  • Management experience.
