Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, developing, and implementing a category strategy for Corn, Corn Flour, and Popcorn. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the achievement of our Sustainability, E2E efficiency, Business assurance, and Innovation goals. The Procurement Manager will also be responsible for managing, co-designing, and executing the Corn Playbook Model for PMF (Commodities Risk Management) and co-creating the Pep+ Agenda in conjunction with Argo LATAM for Corn LATAM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the strategy for the Corn, Corn flour, and Popcorn category, bringing the best cost to the area/scope for 8 Countries (Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, Rep. Dominican, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Peru, and Argentina) in LATAM.
  • Manage, Co-Design, and Execute Corn Playbook Model for PMF (Commodities Risk Management).
  • Co-create Pep+ Agenda in conjunction with Argo LATAM for Corn LATAM.
  • Owner of E2E corn hybrids validation model for Doritos brand for LATAM.
  • Compliance: In a challenging environment, function as a change agent to improve the process, to move this spend to Procurement excellence (compliance, best practices, competitive bidding).
  • Lead the Corn BID process for Regional suppliers. Responsible for achieving the deadline for the timeline, doing the communication with stakeholders, to make sure that we have the responses on time. Implemented the contracts without disruptions and follow the implementation.
  • Deep dive in the category, consolidate volume/spend/vendors of all sites and BUs to leverage our volume, when possible, in a regional or Global level.
  • Bring innovation to the category, new models, TCO analyses, and a new model driving savings at local market level and delivering savings on a YOY basis.
  • Ensure the implementation of legal contract management process that will cover 100% of Suppliers.
  • Work with local MSO ́s to provide the best alternatives for categories, including timing, cost, insurance, quality, etc.
  • Build a strong relationship with the internal clients (Manufacturing; Warehouse; Supply Planning, Legal, Quality, Finance, etc.).
  • Open communication with the Global team, also with the MSO to bring and share best practices.
  • Work with local Market to define, develop, and implement BCP ́s for key materials.
Qualifications

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager with a strong background in the Corn industry. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7 to 10 years' experience in Procurement/Sourcing, preferably in the Corn industry.
  • Spanish, English, and Portuguese language skills (Portuguese is highly desirable).
  • Expertise in financial analysis and cost modeling.
  • Strong organizational, execution, and negotiating skills.
  • Strong people skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Negotiation skills with high knowledge in Grains industry (at least 5 years) and Process change management.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to work effectively with Global Procurement and PepsiCo divisions, internal customers, and suppliers.
