Job Overview

Citi seeks a highly skilled Big Data Insights Senior Expert to drive strategic data analysis and lead cross-functional initiatives. This role is responsible for leveraging in-depth disciplinary knowledge to contribute to the development of new techniques and improve processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and contribute to data science initiatives, leveraging in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function.
  • Ambitiously assume informal/formal leadership roles through coaching and training of new recruits.
  • Influence decisions, work, and performance of all teams through advice, counsel, and/or facilitating services to others in the business.
  • Conduct strategic data analysis, identify insights, and make strategic recommendations, developing data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis.
  • Mine and analyze data from various banking platforms to drive optimization and improve data quality.
  • Deliver analytics initiatives to address business problems with the ability to identify required data, assess time & effort, and establish project plans.
  • Consult with business clients to identify system functional specifications, applying comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas integrate to achieve business goals.
  • Consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems, and industry standards, recommending solutions.
  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry standards.
  • Impact the business directly by ensuring quality of work provided by self and others, impacting own team and closely related work teams.
  • Drive communication between business leaders and IT, exhibiting sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years' experience using tools for statistical modeling of large data sets.
  • Ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Big Data tools, non-relational databases, Java programming, Python, ETL tools, event handling, and stream processing.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, Solas, AB inito, Teradata, and intermediate-level English language proficiency.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
