Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the MRO Buyer to ensure timely procurement of essential raw materials, packaging, and components.
  • Develop and maintain a Master Production Plan to fulfill the requirements of Harman's primary manufacturing facility.
  • Perform cycle counts to validate inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
  • Input data into spreadsheets and ERP systems to maintain precise records.
  • Manage the Vendor Performance system to foster strong supplier partnerships.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance, process engineering, Tool Room, and Production teams to align with production and maintenance timelines.
  • Safeguard the integrity of IQMS/ERP databases.
  • Generate documentation for daily, monthly, and annual reports pertinent to your responsibilities.
  • Prepare production schedules and work orders for the manufacturing team, ensuring updates on mold movements and preventative maintenance.
  • Keep accurate cycle count records for finished goods.
  • Provide administrative support for data entry of purchase orders and assist with online or catalog orders related to production needs.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively collaborate across various departments.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in database management, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Show excellent interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline, with proven experience in a Planner/Buyer capacity.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the plastics injection molding sector.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingual capabilities are advantageous.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with negotiation expertise.
  • APICS certification is a plus.
