Senior Manager, Technical Client Support

We are the in-house product specialists at Datadog. The Technical Solutions team drives Datadog's global expansion by educating prospective clients and ensuring that current customers achieve satisfaction and success. Our team shares technical and product knowledge with clients through various channels, including technical support, demonstrations, and presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee, develop, coach, and mentor Technical Support Engineers and/or their managers, ensuring they effectively respond to client inquiries, replicate and troubleshoot issues, and engage with Datadog's extensive integrations. Take ownership of your team's accountability and performance, managing performance evaluations, development plans, and any employee relations matters for your direct reports. Collaborate with senior leadership in the Support team to supervise team projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, processes, or procedures. Work alongside the Regional Director to recruit, onboard, and retain top talent. Lead projects or initiatives focused on improving team efficiency, processes, or procedures. Partner with internal teams and clients on high-priority escalations, serving as a resource to resolve escalations from team members as needed.

Ideal Candidate:

Enthusiastic about people management and mentorship, with prior experience leading a team, including managing other managers. Self-driven, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous learning. A critical thinker who adopts a client-focused approach and utilizes data for informed decision-making. A hands-on individual with some programming experience and a foundational understanding of Linux. Willing to work a rotating schedule that includes weekend availability. Actively contributes to open-source projects (code, bug reports, etc.) and engages with the Engineering Community (Meetups, etc.). Capable of working onsite in an office location at least three days a week.
