Key Responsibilities- Ensure the LAN/WAN network is capable of providing required services by supporting the network infrastructure through troubleshooting and problem resolution in a production environment.
- Provide daily operational support for LAN/WAN networks, including firewalls, routers, switches, VPN systems, AWS, and Azure networking.
- Document all facets of network configuration and operation.
- Work with other team members to improve skillsets and contribute to team growth.
- Perform pre-installation, equipment replacement, and post-installation support.
- Perform regular backup and restore operations, and implement data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting to identify, resolve, and provide root cause analysis of network-related issues.
- Participate in and respond to system and network incidents.
- Perform system and network analysis using well-defined toolsets for proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand requirements and provide low-level designs that match requirements.
- Deliver the backlog for business-as-usual, prioritized incidents, and strategic projects in a timely manner with the right quality.
- Help manage and scale systems to ensure high availability and offer a robust service.
We are looking for an experienced network engineer with a strong background, hungry to acquire new skills, and passionate about technology. A flexible and adaptable person, good team player, and willing to support other team members.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in installing and maintaining telecommunications and networking systems and equipment.
- Deep understanding of networking equipment and network topology.
- Wide understanding and experience of network technologies, including Cisco (VLAN, trunking, STP).
- Thorough understanding of network switching and routing.
- Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and LAN/WAN technologies.
- Experience with Security: Firewalls, ideally Cisco, Fortinet, or Juniper screenOS (creating VPN's, rules, NAT, security profiles).
- Knowledge in/working experience of IPS/IDS Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet.
- Good English skills (spoken and written).
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP is desirable.
