Molding Department Head

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Molding Department Head to join our team at Corning Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and inspiring a group of engineers, supply chain professionals, production staff, and quality assurance specialists.

• Lead and manage direct and indirect labor, raw materials, supplies, machines, and equipment resources to maximize productivity and quality while minimizing costs.
• Ensure coordination of department efforts to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as safety, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), labor efficiency, quality, schedule attainment, and material usage variance.
• Provide leadership and coaching to managers and supervisors to achieve all goals in Safety, OEE, Labor Efficiency, Quality, Schedule Attainment, and Material Usage Variance.
• Develop and drive standardized work throughout all areas and functions.
• Implement, maintain, and enforce 5S discipline throughout the operation areas.
• Lead Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) culture across functions and individuals.
• Fully embrace and drive Health and Occupational Practices (HOP) safety management philosophy, striving to achieve a culture where individuals learn and adjust systems for long-term sustainability of safety.

• Bachelor of Science or MS Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing/Operations) with a degree emphasis in Plastic Injection Molding or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment related to Molding, tooling, and equipment maintenance, product development, and product introduction.
• 5+ years of managerial experience with 3 years or more experience managing molding department(s) and/or tool room(s).

A competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
