Job Summary
The Credit Specialist at Expeditors International plays a vital role in supporting the company's global logistics operations. As a key member of the Credit Department, this professional is responsible for various activities that ensure the smooth flow of international trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Credit Management: Process customer credit requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses to support business growth.
- Financial Analysis: Compile and analyze credit scoring and company data to inform business decisions.
- Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and maintain various credit-related reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Financial Statement Management: Obtain, track, and reconcile customer financial statements to assess creditworthiness.
- Risk Assessment: Review financial statements and assign risk ratings to inform business decisions.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Interact with branch offices to resolve credit-related issues, provide support, and respond to inquiries.
- Research and Development: Conduct research on company information as needed to support business operations.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to review financial statements.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English (additional languages an asset).
