Job Summary

As a Payroll Accountant at ZF Group, you will be responsible for managing the company's payroll processes, ensuring compliance with Mexican Federal and State laws, and providing excellent customer service to operating units and corporate finance.

Responsibilities
  • Run calculations of weekly, biweekly, and monthly payroll processes.
  • Enter timesheet data and ensure accuracy of payroll interfaces.
  • Run special payroll processes, including Christmas bonus, profit sharing, and saving fund calculations.
  • Distribute payroll reports to employees and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines.
  • Review earnings, deductions, and benefits calculations, and answer questions from employees and management.
  • Ensure compliance with Mexican Federal and State laws regarding payroll.
  • Submit information to tax agencies through their portals.
  • Calculate and prepare payroll taxes, including SUA, State, and Federal taxes.
  • Experience with SUA program and employee annual tax return calculations is required.
  • Effective communication and interaction with various levels of operating unit and headquarters personnel is essential.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are updated and documented as necessary.
Requirements
  • Accounting, Administration, or Finance degree.
  • 3-4 years of payroll process experience.
  • Experience with USA and Canada payroll processes is a plus.
  • 70-90% bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding customer service and continuous improvement are essential.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft, SAP, and QAD systems is preferred.
  • Very good computer skills using MS Office.
  • Strong experience in internal controls.
  • High legal and ethical standards are required.
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities.
