Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in industries such as metalworking, machining, electromechanical integration, or automotive
  • Proficiency in English (70-80% in written, spoken, and reading)
  • Familiarity with SAP is mandatory


Job Purpose:

To analyze complex requirement notifications regarding quantities, timelines, and specifications with the assistance of the system in well-defined contexts.

To plan, oversee, and track intricate deliveries of a wide array of purchased components according to specified needs and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Planning:

  1. Review complex requirement notifications concerning quantities, timelines, and specifications with system support.
  2. Establish and ensure cost-effective order quantities based on defined planning guidelines.
  3. Update logistics material master data, considering established targets (e.g., safety stock levels) for purchased components in collaboration with internal departments.
  4. Monitor safety stock levels, batch sizes, lead times, and amend stored data as necessary.
  5. Manage stock levels for a diverse range of components.
  6. Participate in optimizing the supply chain in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  7. Conduct complex inventory management within a defined area of responsibility.
  8. Engage in or lead coordination meetings with internal departments.
  9. Plan, control, and monitor intricate deliveries of a comprehensive range of purchased components according to needs and schedules.
  10. Oversee and track component allocation for external production, considering required quantities and timelines.
  11. Act as the primary contact for material planning processes and logistical supplier management within the facility.
  12. Facilitate training sessions and knowledge transfer of standardized material planning processes to purchasing parts planners and supervisors.
  13. Generate regular analyses of material master data, including stock values and ranges, and make corrections as per standard specifications.
  14. Measure and monitor performance to achieve targets.
  15. Provide first-level support for purchasing parts planners within the facility.
  16. Initiate orders and deadline inquiries.
  17. Track delivery dates (deadline follow-up, guarantees), involving responsible internal departments. In challenging deadline situations, initiate escalation as necessary.
  18. Prepare complex solutions in case of supply shortages in collaboration with internal departments and suppliers.
  19. Review incoming order confirmations, resolving discrepancies in agreement with internal departments and suppliers.
  20. Coordinate timely provision of parts and/or materials between suppliers and internal departments, monitoring provision, consumption, and return of parts for external production as appropriate.
  21. Process incoming goods journals, clarifying excess deliveries or schedule changes, and initiate logistic escalation if necessary.
  22. Systematically set up and continuously monitor supplier consignment stores.
  23. Organize and conduct logistics-supplier meetings regarding deadline and quantity issues, and participate in supplier evaluations.
  24. Address discrepancies in invoices (quantity differences) on the accounts payable side.
  25. Oversee Kanban control loops, determining all necessary master and movement data to ensure prescribed availability at minimal stock levels.
  26. Assume planning responsibility for items prior to SOP.
  27. Engage in projects related to process changes, participate in sourcing committees, and ensure implementation according to derived measures.
  28. Monitor and manage stocktaking of materials provided by suppliers.
  29. Train and support purchasing parts planners to fulfill required tasks according to established routines.
  30. Provide first-level support for purchasing parts planners and serve as the central contact for material planning processes and logistics supplier management.
  31. Conduct regular analyses and, if necessary, corrections of scheduling relevant master data for material procurement.
  32. Identify optimization potential in procurement processes and initiate realization while considering standard processes.
  33. Assist the project team in the I2P phase concerning material planning processes.
  34. Responsible for specifying and implementing system-based change requests, including requirement gathering, gap analysis, testing, user training, and application documentation.
  35. Document and configure material planning-related SAP modules to meet business requirements.
