The Foreign & Commonwealth Office is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead the Healthcare and Life Sciences Sector Team at the British Embassy Mexico. As the Head of Healthcare and Life Sciences Sector Team, you will be responsible for leading the Healthcare and Life Sciences Campaign at the Department for Business and Trade, British Embassy Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to increase trade in the healthcare and life sciences sector between the UK and Mexico.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the Mexican government, healthcare and life sciences companies, and other relevant organizations.
- Identify and develop business opportunities for UK companies in the healthcare and life sciences sector in Mexico.
- Collaborate with other sector teams to identify overlapping opportunities and maximize strategic delivery.
- Manage the market access barrier portfolio and drive progress and resolution to barriers to trade affecting British businesses.
- Lead and build important relationships with stakeholders in the Mexican government in the healthcare and life sciences sector.
- Manage a team of Trade Officers and interns, providing effective line management and ensuring good financial, project, and procurement management.
Requirements
- Substantial account management experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and project management experience.
- A BA degree in healthcare/life sciences or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant relevant business development experience and a solid understanding of the Mexican business environment.
- Clear motivation and personal commitment to meeting challenging targets with a proven track record of achievement.
- An excellent network of industry contacts in the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector in Mexico or the ability to develop.
