We are seeking a talented Transportation Operations Specialist to provide tactical operations support involving order entry, appointment scheduling, and transportation management.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for timely and accurate order entry, managing dispatch boards, and identifying customer needs. You will also proactively track shipments, alert stakeholders to potential service gaps, and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes quickly. If you are a detail-oriented and organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience and location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate order entry with requesting and setting Pickup and Delivery appointments for Customers assigned
  • Managing dispatch board and Customers assigned to identify how to manage the day-to-day needs of each customer
  • Proactive shipment tracking and custom alerts for known anticipated service gaps
  • Proactive communication with key stakeholders regarding any known anticipated delays

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain
  • 0-1 year of experience in last mile issues (CEDIS), logistics, LTL issues (may be internships)
  • Advanced English (more written than spoken)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel (macros desirable)
  • SAP desirable
  • Ability to manage high volumes of data integrity and maintain accuracy in the process
  • Ability to learn and update brokerage transportation management system
  • Willing and able to be flexible to step outside of the normal day-to-day scope when bandwidth allows to support additional scheduling needs or Track and Trace efforts
  • Ability to operate and flourish in a fast-paced business environment
  • Willingness to embrace change and all other assigned duties for the greater good of the team
