About the Role:

The Statutory Reporting Manager will be responsible for managing statutory accounts for all Market legal entities, including 17 entities and 3 active trading companies. This role will also lead the implementation of new IFRS requirements, pension scheme accounting, and reporting processes, as well as manage the KPMG audit process for statutory audits.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage the completion of UK GAAP statutory accounts for trading and non-trading entities, including preparing complex elements such as share options and pensions, lease accounting, and US to UK GAAP adjustments.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of SAP statutory ledger.
  • Support the UK Tax Manager with the completion of UK corporation tax computations and returns, with key involvement in preparing and reviewing detailed and complex areas such as pensions, fixed assets, and other expenses.
  • Manage and train a team of 2 offshore IBM team members in delivery of IBM Statutory & tax team, preparation of less complex areas of statutory accounts and tax computations of main trading entities, in addition to non-trading and dormant entities.
  • Implement new statutory reporting requirements under FRS101 for all UK legal entities.
  • Point of contact with KPMG for statutory audits, responsible for coordination of audit work from PEP side.
  • Design and maintain monitoring procedure for statutory and corporation tax processes.
  • Identify and assist in remediating weaknesses and implementing simplification and continuous improvement activities within statutory and tax accounting processes.
  • Provide ad hoc project support to other members of the UK reporting team for areas such as cash mobilisation and restructuring.
  • Control Owner for GCS & SOx controls in areas of core responsibility.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual forecasting of pension balances.

Requirements:

  • Qualified financial accountant (ACA, ACCA, FCA) - first time passes desirable.
  • Solid understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS and UK statutory reporting requirements, proven experience in preparing statutory statements. US GAAP and FRS101 knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Fluent English (B2+).
