We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior E-Commerce Leadership professional to join our team at Angel Ventures. As an E-Commerce Associate Director, you will play a critical role in driving the growth and success of our Checkout Platform in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a senior team of Sales Team Managers and their teams of Sales Executives to scale the Checkout Platform in the market.
- Develop and implement a long-term vision and strategy for growing the team and scaling day-to-day operations.
- Adopt and influence the company's sales methodology and drive best practices on selling and forecasting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver results, including the development of new solutions, improvements, and prioritizations.
- Develop and implement best practices to enable the organization to scale more rapidly and deliver on revenue targets and support KPIs for growth.
- Provide subject matter expertise to product and engineering teams, delivering critical business insights and launching strategic initiatives.
- Recommend payment solutions that support payment innovation and optimization.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in the digital payments landscape.
- Build relationships with suppliers, customers, and partners in the payments industry.
- Monitor and influence industry-wide payments change activities and successfully manage those changes internally.
- Develop business cases for new initiatives.
- Manage cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex operational, regulatory, and legal issues.
- Structure complex agreements that include custom commercials, technical integrations, data protection, and privacy.
- Engage with strategic opportunities and lead executive relationships to win new customers.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to choose and sequence the best partners for our products.
- Supervise and drive decision-making on all agreement mechanics.
- Travel up to 30% depending on project status.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- +15 years of payments experience in product, partnerships, and business development, or equivalent.
- +8 years of experience with emphasis on B2B Sales, specifically building and managing External Channels and Partnerships to commercialize acquiring products/ecommerce platforms or solutions.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
- Experience leading and executing complex strategic and operational initiatives for organizations.
- Experience working in a fast-changing environment with an entrepreneurial approach.
- Proficiency in negotiation, business development, client relationship management, consulting services, and project management.
- Self-directed, driven, and motivated with demonstrated analytical, negotiation, and business development skills.
- Mandatory experience within payments and ecommerce platform, checkout, plugin, API integrations, fintech, and/or financial service industries (at least +10 years).
- Experience in Payments with digital merchants.
- Understanding and experience in the Latam Markets.
- Demonstrated cross-functional communication skills and relationship-building experience with technical teams, lawyers, and marketers.
- Experience with payments and technology products.
- Experience working for an ecommerce platform.
- Experience in hunting, sales methodology, sales process, funnel, and pipeline.
- Experience of working with operations from scratch.
- Experience in maintaining the most senior executive relationships at significant medium and large prospects and helping close those deals.
- Data-driven in making decisions, setting goals, and driving success in the organization while embracing 'hands-on' sales and qualitative success metrics.
- Creativity to work in complex scenarios.
- Excels at developing business strategies and ensuring flawless execution.
