Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineering Manager to join our team at NOVARES. This role will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing existing processes to improve performance, security, quality, cost, time, and environment. The successful candidate will also train productivity players and ensure the deployment and capitalization of technical skills at the site.

Main Responsibilities
  • Train relevant personnel in processes and ensure the deployment and capitalization of technical skills at the site
  • Ensure the productivity of existing processes/products
  • Manage the technical database
  • Define and write procedures for new means and processes
  • Define the production line layouts and create and validate time sequences
  • Help develop processes during the project phase, in production, and optimize them
  • Provide technical input for processes and workstations to make technical improvements
  • Schedule and maintain or organize the maintenance of tooling, assembly machines, and the product
  • Make production equipment reliable to improve quality, safety, etc. of existing means
  • Propose innovative technical solutions concerning manufacturing processes to reach productivity, quality improvement, and safety objectives and reduce running time
  • Cost, carry out, and validate 'in production' modifications for plant processes
  • Negotiate with external service providers
  • Validate the implementation in the field of inspection means
  • Define and validate work in process (forklifts, suspended, or other, etc.)
  • Define and validate substitution packaging
  • Optimize existing packaging
  • Ensure compliance with workstation ergonomics rules
  • Troubleshoot to solve quality problems
  • Technically solve problems to eliminate 'quality obstacles'
  • Use time analysis and SMED to optimize processes
  • Apply production standards
Requirements
  • Strong work experience in machine qualification, including calibration, correlation, capability, repeatability, and reproducibility
  • Able to communicate effectively in a worldwide environment
Level 2 Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the integration of new products/processes on the site for which they are assigned
  • Help define the necessary plant means and coordinate their implementation to acquire the necessary skills locally
  • Attend project meetings and assist with the FMECA process with the project group
  • Lead a process and/or means FMECA working group
  • Support/participate in the definition of CS process during the PFMEA
  • Participate in and validate the writing of specifications for specific means on the site
  • Produce specification capacity means
  • Launch calls for tender and consultations for capacity and plant means
  • Monitor suppliers
  • Receive and validate the acceptance and development of new resources
  • Initialize the creation of CAM technical data (parts, parts lists, instruction sheets)
  • Create process adjustment sheets (parameters) and associated documents
  • Carry out the programming required to operate specific equipment
  • Carry out CCV/VSM for new projects
  • Conduct flow and layout studies
  • Conduct station and time studies (time usage rules) and draw up documentation in compliance with quality requirements
  • Compile the manufacturing file: procedure, operation sequence diagram, man-machine activity chart, instruction sheets, lists, manufacturing charts
